Registrar

Mrs. Ibimonia Biobele Sotonye Harry, is now the Substantive Registrar of the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt. Until her appointment which took effect from 28^th October, 2024, Mrs. I. B. S. Harry was the Acting Registrar of the University, a position she held from 8^th March, 2024 to 27^th October, 2024.

Mrs. I. B. S. Harry, attended the following Educational Institutions: Township School, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt (1968 – 1972); Archdeacon Crowther Memorial Girls’ School, Elelenwo (1972 – 1977); Federal School of Arts and Science, Sokoto (1977 – 1979); University of Ibadan, Ibadan (1979 – 1982), and the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt.

Mrs. I. B. S. Harry, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, Post Graduate Diploma in Education and a Master of Arts degree in Law and Diplomacy.

She joined the services of the University on the 18th of January, 1990 and has served in various positions such as: Administrative Officer 1, Personnel Division – 18 Jan. – 5 Dec., 1990; Senate Officer II, Senate Division – 6th Sept.– 25th Nov, 1990; Personnel Officer (Non-Acad.) Personnel Div. – 1990 – 1995; Personnel Officer (Academic) Estab. Div. – 1996 – 2004; Prin. Asst. Reg. (Admin.) Registrar’s Office – Jan. 2004; Deputy Registrar (Admin.) Registrar’s Office – 2004 – 2014; Deputy Registrar/Sec., Postgraduate School – 2014 – 2016; Director, Establishment -16th June – Nov, 2017; Director/Secretary, Postgraduate School – 2017 – 2018; Director, Council Affairs – 2018-2024.

She is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Loans and Risk Management of Nigeria, an active member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), Association of Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and other charity organisations like the Girl Guides Association of Nigeria and the Young Women Christian Association.
