PROFILE OF THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN
(CLN) is an academic Librarian, an Associate Professor of Library and Information science as well as the University Librarian as appointed by the Governing Council of the Rivers State University in 2018. She is responsible for the University Library and its entire network. Dr. Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree from the renowned Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Master’s degree from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom and PhD from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka all in Library and Information Science. In addition to her academic qualification, she is a Certified Librarian of the Librarian’s Registration Council of Nigeria. She has attended notable conferences and workshops in Nigeria, Africa, and Europe. She is a member of various professional bodies. She has written, authored, co-authored and published books, several articles in learned journals and presented papers in local and international conferences and workshops. She specializes and offer consultation services in Application of ICT in Library Operations, Reference Services, Collections Development, and Information Service Structures, Strategic Aspects of Information Literacy Development, and Library Information and knowledge Management.
