Prospects Of The University Medical Centre

There is a very bright future for the University Medical Centre. Most of what should make this facility great are already in place. However, there is a dare need to employ many more relevant health professionals as the current numbers in all critical sectors is grossly inadequate. For a University Medical Centre that is responsible for the health care of a population of staff and students of more than thirty thousand, there is an urgent need to redress this gross anomaly.

Secondly with better funding, such as plowing back a percentage of the IGR from the Medical centre to the running of the centre, the facility will do far better than it is now. Better funding and engagement of adequate relevant manpower will lead to greater patronage and higher income generation.
