Architect Henry Eze Onu is a native of Rumuekini, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. He studied and graduated from Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), now Rivers State University, Nkpolu Orowurukwo, Port Harcourt, where he obtained a B.Tech degree in Architecture in 1992,an M.Sc degree in Architecture in 1998, and a PGD degree in Civil Engineering in 2008.
He commenced his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)as a teacher in Federal Government Girls College Ipetumodi, Osun State. He was later appointed Corps Liaison Officer(CLO) and was subsequently re-deployed to the Ife North Local Government Area secretariat, in the Town Planning Division, where he completed his service in 1999.

Architect Henry Eze Onu was employed as an architect in the Estate, Works and Transport Department of this university in 2000. He grew through the ranks to the position of Assistant architecture. He was appointed Acting Director of Works in August from August 2014 to June 2014. He was later re-appointed Acting Director of Works from April 2019 to date. He served in several committees of the university. He has been involved in design, construction, supervision external assessor for appointment of Director of works, renovation and other services.
He has been in leadership realm of the church as a Sunday School Teacher, Coordinator/president Students Special Service, president Youth fellowship, Chairman, Harvest Committee, president. Chairman, Church management Council and other several positions in his church chapel of Redemption, RSU . Port Harcourt.
He is a fully registered member of Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) and also a full member of Architects registration council of Nigeria (ARCON).
He loves spending his extra time in sports, especially football, farming, traveling, reading and family. He is joyfully married to his lovely wife, Mrs. Nengimote Onu and has a wonderful family.
