Sorbarikor holds a PhD in Strategic Management from De Montfort University, Leicester in the UK and is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management he teaches and supervises students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also undertakes research support and training, especially in terms of qualitative research methodologies as well as other trainings for both public and private sector organisations. He has been involved in the facilitation of training sessions for Postgraduate Students of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (Research Methods), RTI International on Innovation in Social Enterprises (for members of NGOs and CBOs), the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) on Service Delivery through Corporate Governance (for members of staff), Research Supervision for Academic Staff of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria and the Rivers State Local Government Service Commission on Quality Service Delivery (for Senior Management of Local Government Councils).
