John Kinikachi Chinda is a law teacher with the Department of Public Law, Faculty of Law, Rivers State University Nkpolu-Oroworukwo Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Dundee.

His research topic is “Analysing the United States Policy and Legal Framework on Biofuels: Lessons for Delivering a Sustainable Biofuel Regime in Nigeria”.  

He holds a LL.B degree from the Rivers State University, BL from the Nigerian Law School, and an LL.M in Petroleum Law and Policy from the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, (CEPMLP) University of Dundee.

At the Rivers State University, he taught Law of Torts, Equity and Trusts and has given tutorials on Company Law, Law of Conveyance, and Land Law.

He was a teacher and law tutor at the School of Law, University of Dundee.  He taught English Law of Obligations, Contract Law and was a tutor for Jurisprudence. He was also a distance learning tutor at CEPMLP, University of Dundee. He carried out pastoral care and assisted LL.M students with their modules and essays.
