PHILOSOPHY OF THE PROGRAMMES

The world is fast growing into a computerized society with sophisticated techniques designed for information exchange, dissemination and retrieval. Computer Science/Information Technology form the vehicle for this development. In this regard Computer Science is actually applicable in all facets of human endeavour and included in students’ curriculum to foster the awareness and to serve as a follow-up in this regard. Apart from its intellectual interest, Computer Science is useful to physical scientists, engineers and technologists. In recent times, the range of applications has extended to include the Social Sciences, Biological Sciences, Medicine, Environmental Sciences and the business community. It is expected that the growing Nigeria population follow this trend.
