Grace Ogonda Akolokwu is a Professor of Property Law and Human Rights of the Rivers State University. She is a trained teacher with a B.A Education Degree from the University of Port Harcourt; a Barrister & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with an LL.B; LL.M (RSU);PhD (NAU) Degrees.
Her research interests majorly concern property law, investment securities, child rights, gender rights law and customary law. She teaches Equity and the Law of Trusts at the undergraduate level; the law of Mortgages and Secured credit systems; the law of Landlord & Tenants and Customary law at the PhD, LLM and Postgraduate Diploma classes respectively. She has written six books on her teaching areas; more than 45 articles in local and international journals; attended and presented papers in conferences and is currently Head; Department of Private and Property Law.
She is married with children and grandchildren and is an advocate for peace and justice with deep interest in community and ecclesiastical works.
