Dr. (Mrs.) Idanyingi Ibinye Daminabo

Dr. (Mrs.) Idanyingi Ibinye Daminabo was born on November 6, 1965 at Opobo Town in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State. She attended St. Cyprian Primary School, Port Harcourt, from 1971 to 1976; Holy Rosary Secondary School, Port Harcourt, from 1976 to 1981. She is a graduate of Sociology from the University of Port Harcourt from 1983 to 1987 and had her Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1999; and Doctorate degree in Human Resources Management from the Rivers State University in 2019.

Biography

After her one-year NYSC at Enugu in 1988, then Anambra State, she had her first appointment as an Administrative Officer II at the then Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, where she grew to the position of Assistant Registrar before proceeding to the University of Nigeria for her Master’s degree in Sociology. She was employed at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (now Rivers State University) in 1994 as an Administrative Officer I. Dr. (Mrs.) Idanyingi Ibinye Daminabo grew through the ranks to the position of Deputy Registrar and now Director of Establishment Division at the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt. She has served as Secretary of over twenty-eight (28) committees in the University. She was a member of the Rivers State Government Personnel Audit for RSCOE in 2002 and also served as External Assessor on Interview Panel at the Federal University of Otuoke in 2020.
