  • June 1972-Sept. 1974: Pupil Research Officer, Federal Department of Agricultural Research, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Nigeria. Involved in forage establishment and research programme; assisted in setting up the Livestock Unit at the station in 1973.
  • Sept. 1976-July 1979: Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant, University of Guelph. Assisted Professors of the Department of Animal/Poultry Science in the organization and supervision\ of course practicals and student projects.
  • Aug. 1979-Nov. 1980: Senior Research Officer, National Cereals Research Institute, Moor Plantation, Ibadan. Responsible for the Livestock Unit (containing over 200 goats, 150 sheep, 50 pigs, 100 rabbits, 1000 broilers and about 2000 layers). Also in charge of pasture development.
  • Nov. 1980-1982: Lecturer 1, Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt. Taught Courses in Animal Nutrition and Animal Production. Involved in administrative assignments. Actively participated in the revision/restructuring of undergraduate degree programmes.
  • Oct. 1982-2003: Senior Lecturer in Animal Science. Gave academic leadership in the Animal Science/Food Science and Technology Department.
